Transfer Watch: Turkish Club Erzurumspor Target Super Eagles Forward Peter Olayinka

Turkish Süper Lig side Erzurumspor are reportedly pushing to sign Nigerian forward Peter Olayinka on a free transfer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, Naijasports report.

The 29-year-old is currently available after leaving Cypriot champions APOEL, where he made 14 league appearances and scored two goals during his spell with the club.

Olayinka would arrive in Turkey with a wealth of experience built across several European leagues. The versatile attacker has enjoyed a trophy-laden career, winning league titles in the Czech Republic with Slavia Prague, Serbia with Red Star Belgrade and Albania earlier in his career.

Best known for his successful stint at Slavia Prague, Olayinka established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players, featuring regularly in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League while helping the Czech giants to multiple domestic honours.

His experience at the highest level of European football, coupled with his versatility across the front line, makes him an attractive option for Erzurumspor as they prepare for life in the Turkish top flight.
