David Okereke Set to Leave Cremonese as Free Agent

Former Nigeria U-23 international David Okereke will bring his four-year spell with Italian club Cremonese to an end after the expiration of his contract on June 30.

The 27-year-old forward will leave the Serie A side as a free agent, ending a stint that saw him become an important member of the Grigiorossi squad.

Okereke joined Cremonese from Belgian giants Club Brugge in 2022 in a deal worth €2.5 million after initially impressing during a loan spell. During his time at the club, the versatile attacker made 68 appearances across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.

Capable of playing as a centre-forward or on either wing, Okereke contributed across both Serie A and Serie B campaigns, using his pace and direct running to trouble opposition defences.

With his contract now at an end, the former Nigeria U-23 star is expected to attract interest from clubs across Europe as he prepares for the next chapter of his career following his departure from Cremonese.
