Fulham Eye McKenna as Silva Successor Amid Managerial Search

Fulham have reportedly identified Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna as their preferred candidate to succeed Marco Silva following the Portuguese coach’s departure to Benfica.

According to talkSPORT, The Cottagers are understood to be keen on bringing the highly-rated Northern Irishman to Craven Cottage after his impressive work at Ipswich. McKenna is said to be interested in the opportunity, although Fulham would need to activate an £8 million release clause in his contract to secure his services from Portman Road.

McKenna has earned widespread praise for guiding Ipswich’s remarkable rise in recent seasons, making him one of the most sought-after young managers in English football.

However, Fulham are also weighing up alternative options. Former Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank remains under consideration, with the Danish coach viewed as a more cost-effective appointment should negotiations for McKenna prove difficult.

The London club are expected to intensify their search in the coming weeks as they look to appoint a new manager ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
