NFF President promises to be in India for Flamingos Semi-final clash
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau has revealed his plan to be in India on Tuesday to support the Nigeria U-17 female National team also known as Flamingos.
It would be recalled that the Coach Olowookere led side defeated their American counterparts on Friday to resch the semi final of the FIFA U-17 Female World Cup in India.
“Congrat! I promise, I will be with you on Tuesday by the grace of God. Thank you very much for this hard earned victory. Everybody is happy with you in Nigeria” he said in a video chat with the girls
The Flamingos who are up to make history in the mundial will now face Columbia in the semi final clash scheduled for Tuesday.
Columbia had earlier defeated Tanzania in another quarter final of the tournament played on Saturday.
The ongoing competition is the first of many both local and international outing that the President will oversee in the course of his four years tenure.
