Two first half goals from Tope Olusesi and Ossy Martins gifted Rangers the maximum points over MFM in an NPFL week six encounter on Sunday.

The two goals were scored in the first half and Rangers improved their position on the league standing.

Captain of the side, Tope Olusesi ran to an intelligent Kenechukwu Agu’ cross to sweep home beyond the reach of goalkeeper at the quarter-hour mark.

Former Lobi Stars forward, Ossy Martins made it 2-0 from the spot on 44 minute, after MFM goalkeeper Osayi Kingdom brought down goal-bound, Ugochukwu Ugwuoke.

Former Gateway United Stars Julius Ikechukwu came close to making it 3-0 for Rangers on two occasions, but his efforts were saved by Osayi Kingdom.

MFM improved their performance in the second stanza, but it was little too late as Rangers defended their lead with everything they had.

Alabi Oladayo, Adebayo Temim, and Tunde Azzez all came close to grabbing a goal for the Olukoya Boys in the second half but the host goalkeeper denied them.

With the win, Rangers move to the 3rd place on the log with eleven points from six matches, while MFM remain 19th with six points.
