Nigerian international striker, Anthony Ujah, has officially retired from professional football at the age of 34, bringing an end to a remarkable career that spanned across several continents.
Ujah, known for his strength, pace, and goal-scoring instincts, began his journey in Nigeria with Abuja FC and Warri Wolves before making the leap to Europe. He went on to play in Norway, Germany, China, and Bulgaria, leaving a lasting impression wherever he featured.
Throughout his career, Ujah represented notable clubs including Lillestrøm SK, Mainz 05, FC Köln, Werder Bremen, Liaoning FC, Union Berlin, Eintracht Braunschweig, and most recently, Botev Plovdiv.
The forward’s versatility and consistency earned him recognition as one of Nigeria’s reliable exports in European football.
