Barnsley manager Conor Hourihane has confirmed that Nigeria international Kelechi Nwakali is free to leave the club before the close of the current transfer window.
The midfielder, who has been absent from recent matchday squads, was dropped after returning late from his holiday. Hourihane has now made it clear that Nwakali does not feature in his plans for the new season.
Nwakali, a former Golden Eaglets star and Super Eagles midfielder, joined Barnsley with high expectations but could be on the move again as the club prepares to reshape its squad.
